The Therapy Tree By Caroline - Policies
COVID-19 Policy
Throughout the pandemic, I will follow guidelines issued by the Government, NHS, other relevant authorities and my professional association, the Federation of Holistic Therapists, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE).
COVID-19 Risk Assessment
I have carried out a full risk assessment, in line with guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to:
Identify what work activity or situations might cause transmission of the virus; think about who could be at risk; decide how likely it is that someone could be exposed; and act to remove the activity or situation, or if this isn’t possible, control the risk.
COVID-19 Health Screening
Before seeing any of my clients, I will be:
Monitoring my health and deferring treatments if I have COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19.
Contacting my clients in advance of their appointment and deferring any treatments if:
They have COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19; are shielding; anyone in their household has COVID-19 or signs of COVID-19; they have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 in the past ten days; they have been contacted by the NHS Test and Trace Service (or their country’s equivalent) and told to self-isolate.
I am asking my clients to call and cancel and defer treatment if they have a temperature or other symptoms of COVID-19.
Enhanced Cleaning and Hygiene Measures
I have introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures between clients, including washing and disinfecting non-porous surfaces and therapy equipment, such as chairs and couches, and replacing any porous or single-use items, such as towels and couch rolls. Strict personal hygiene measures will also be adhered to, including regular handwashing/ sanitising.
Adapting or Restricting Treatments
I may need to adapt or restrict specific treatments to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and protect my clients’ health and safety. Any clients likely to be impacted will be advised as soon as possible.
Maintaining Social Distancing
Please note that while many treatments involve close contact, I will observe social distancing measures wherever possible. This includes maintaining an appropriate distance during the appointment and when arriving and leaving.
Reservation Policy:
I cannot secure appointments made from withheld numbers, and walk-in appointments are unavailable. I offer online bookings, for which an appointment should be arranged 12 hours in advance. Bookings can be taken by phone, too, and if you would like to book an appointment at short notice, please call me.
Cancellation Policy:
If, for any reason, you cannot keep your appointment, I ask that you inform us by telephone (not SMS, social media, or email) as soon as possible so that the appointment can be re-listed. We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to be able to reschedule or cancel appointments. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment will incur a 50% charge. Clients who fail to attend their appointment will be charged 100% of the cost of their treatment.
Payment Policy:
When making bookings either online or in person, payment details are required at the time of booking. We can accept debit and credit cards in-house.
Appointment and Conduct Policy:
When visiting The Therapy Tree by Caroline, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment. Due to the nature of the treatments, any late arrival may be deducted from the appointment time. Any misconduct by the client will cause the therapist to end the treatment without a refund, and no further appointments will be taken.
